Howdy all, I use a hazer for the bulk of my lighting enhancement needs but have lots of fog machines lying around. Just wanted to hear what some of you do with yours creatively for fun. I still use one for the big cloud of smoke now and then because people go ooooh and aaaah but have also done these things with them.
Use a small 400 watt machine facing the output directly at the fan on my bubble machines, .....Yep, you guessed it....smoke filled bubbles! They don't float as long but you definately see them better and they look great when they pop. Little poofs of smoke everywhere.
The other thing I use the small 400 watt machines for is....Instead of spending more money on more foggers or chillers. I use a few feet of metal bendable dryer hose and put 3 or 4 of those gel packs that you put in the freezer to pack lunches with to keep them cold...just place a few of those in the tube, point fogger at the tube...chills the fog creating a dry ice effect that rolls off the stage onto the dance floor instead of just rising up and going everywhere. People love to walk through it and kick the smoke around.
