Hello everyone. I recently sold my old mixer to upgrade to a TTM57 but I was not able to buy the other mixer right after, so it gave me some more time to think.
I am currently deciding between a used ttm57 (red line) for $1000 (keep in mind im in Canada) or just going all in and buying the rane 62 which is another grand or so :s
What I'm wondering about is if the rane 62 is really for me if I am just spinning in my bedroom for now. What do you guys think?

I think the 68 will be a little overkill for bedroom use.

There's a Rane 62 owners thread on here somewhere, but what I gathered from there the 62 is a significant upgrade from a 57, especially in sound quality.

but is it worth the extra $1500 that I would have to pay (used ttm 57 = $1000 / new rane 62 = 2500 (taxes included))

It comes down to what you think you will need. If you want more overall control of the software, greater build quality, and better audio quality, then yes. If not, then I don't see much of a point.

plus the 62 has onboard effects compared to the 57. i didn't have a hands on with the 62 but a DJ i know recently replaced his 57 with a 62 and he said it was worth it.

I could be wrong but I think the 57 and 61 are more or less the same (with the 61 being the updated and slightly upgraded version). The 62 is the much better version as mentioned with on board effects and additional controls for Serato. Here in the US, it's about a $600 difference, but if I was shopping between the 61 and 62, would pick the 62 just for the additional Serato functions.

$2500 for the 62?

you can get it for much cheaper. well worth it. the 57 is a great mixer and will be around for a long time but the 62 is well worth the extra money.

p.s. let me know if your interested in the 62, I know a place where you can get a good deal.

He's in Canada, prices are higher. I had the 57 and then upgraded to the 62. There's going to come a time when u dont want to bedroom dj anymore. And ur going to want more from your mixer. Go with the 62.it will be worth it in the long run.

57 and Sixty-two are great mixers. Can't go wrong w/ either one. I guess you gotta figure out what best fits you. In the US, the 62 is bound to replace the 57 as the club standard, not sure if this is something you care about or not. Since the 57 has been discontinued and basically replaced by the 62, in a few months or so I'm sure the prices for the 57 will be coming down quite a bit.

I'd got for the 62 man.

57 is great! But I think unless you can snag a used one for a wicked price I would personally invest in a 62, I think that mixer will last you the rest of your life.

is the 61 as worthless as I think it is?
