View Full Version : CDJ 800s for mobile work?
I'm looking to get into mobile djing and I'm wondering if the CDJ 800s would be good enough for doing parties, weddings, etc or should I try and invest into some of the 1000 MK IIs? I want something that will last me a while and suite the job well.
I'd like to save the money if possible and get only 800s but don't know if they are considered less than "pro" quality for such jobs.

I dont really see any reason why a CDJ-800 wouldent be any good for what you describe. I still often times use Pio CDJ-100s and a Stanton STR8-30 at my gigs.

Since mobile djs just fade in and out (like at some of my school dances before and parties of freinds, etc,) why dont you guys just get the rackmount players? Cheaper and more for your use cuz the go on the rack. Also jw, why dont you guys put on prerecorded mixes. lol i know your prob not supposed to, but itd make you guys look better. No offense to any mobile djs at all.
yea CDJs would be over kill, but I guess if you get creative with them you could be the areas coolest mobile DJ????

I use my my Denon s-5000s' for my mobile gigs all the time
ppl come up and are just in awe when they see the equip in
use, plus I barely ever just fade out a song I mix everything live
but yea cdj 800s would be perfect for a mobile gig
