CALLING OUT: 5 Minute EDM Mega Mix (Beginner/intermediate)

Trying to get down with a little mixing action, rules are;

5 minutes in length

15 (Minimum) to 25 songs

Any genre within the EDM field

Only turntables/CJD (timecode). Vinyl allowed too.

No Pro tools or anything of such

Loser must hate them self and others around for the rest of the day.

Thats it I suppose, get at me.

Dillon Francis did about 27-30 songs in his 5 min mix for the anniemac show. I cut it to 15 for beginner reasons :)

Radio 1 style mini-mixes are more like studio music production than DJing is that what you proposing? Pro tools used to be the weapon of choice but I guess most are done in Ableton Live now

It would take me 15 seconds to grab a record, cue it up, beatmatch it, then play it. I can see doing what you want with a pre-planed mix using some production software. But a live dj set might be a bit much for us vinyl lovers.

I would be down for a 15-20 track 10 min mix..that gives me a little bit longer to play out each track. Im not sure how it would sound, but it wold be something different. If your okay with that. Im in.

And if you are okay with it we could make it due in a week, so next saturday? Up to you its your battle.

I'm failing so badly at this mix lol, completely underestimated Dillon Francis even though I wont make a preset list. I cannot get to 15, everytime I get to 6th song, its like 8 minutes..

lol, I wouldve been able to make it work. But the amount of planning I needed vs my time available wasnt working out. Ya for sure next time. When I feel like making a mix i'll make a callout thread for you.

Tbh, I can't do what I purposed. My beat matching is decent, but I do need about 20 seconds to do so, and then everything turns into a huge rush of song selecting and order of playing.. I'm no fan on premade set list, I'll put 100 songs in a list and just go. but yeah, lets reserve that mix for an easier time.

Wow guys this would have been really cool battle. I wouldn't be able to do it at all lol. I am still learning EDM so maybe one time I will jump into a battle but not one like this lol. I give you guys props for trying though! Hope it all works out soon
