Hello People

first post..

Im a new electronics vendor looking to see what, if any, interest I can get from these forums in the products I can provide. I am here as a "test" persec Just J's suggestions..I have noticed you have a vendor section with no vendors..just the same .. I admit little to no knowledge in the *guts* part of the products I can provide..but I do know how to give good pricing to develop relationships.. I will try to provide dealer pricing whenever possible ( read almost always ) in hopes to put food on the table for me and my family. In the very near future I will put some sample pricing up for some items that I can provide similar to what I see posted in the wanted forum..here in this thread. I will for the most part answer questions about pricing publicly in this thread as well as to share that info to the general membership..Hope to see this become good for you and I..be back real soon.

Any one know if its ok for me to post some websites of the product lines I carry here in this forum?

Good to know I could find something that would suit your tastes ..:)

They are a bit more upscale than the other model..but manuf. by the same parent company. Ive got a ton of stuff to post..just trying to find a mix. Some people dont have deep pockets ( read as little money ) and while would love to have all top shelf stuff ..do have to be realistic to the "depth" of their pockets..hense the need for lower priced goods..hopefully not at the sacrifice of quality !

It's to bad you don't carry them, I'm sure you would get more business. I think that you stick up for these products only because you sell them. You know as well as we do that most are pretty much junk. Sure, there are those little 12 and 13 yr old wanna be's buying it because they can't afford the good stuff. Those of us that know about equipment won't be buying the stuff you sell. I admit, some of the products look cool but thats no indication of how they perform. I also think the specs on those amps are inflated to look more powerful, much like Pyle, Pyramid, Gemsound, etc..
So, work for a company that deals with real gear and I'm sure you'll do better business. I'm sure you are a great business man, but those products are hurting you.

I "stick up" ????

By the way ..you might have noticed Pyle in my line up too..I put these up because I can make a good deal on them..but why do you wish to bad mouth them?..did I do something to you I dont know about..??? just saying their are junk with out comparsion data?..Thanks budd..do me a favor and from here on keep that opinion off my thread?.. I am not attacking any product you wish to acclaim as the best..and Im not claiming these are the best..if you ever read my first post.. I admitted only that I could get good prices on these products. Your negative hype is not doing me any favors

Are you in any market for a Pyle item?..what?..can I quote you a price?

baltoed,

You admit to not knowing a lot about the inner workings of the items you sell. I will give you a little bit of a review to help you out. A lot of the line level equipment, for the price, is probably okay, particularly for someone on a tight budget, as long as they do not abuse their equipment, and as long as you do warranty your items well. I don't necessarily mean that you will have to warranty everything, but there is a higher likelyhood that you will do some warranties. I work in a repair department, for electronic equipment, and the difference between less expensive equipment verses more expensive equipment, is sometimes lower quality parts or parts operating closer to their tolerances, and quality control, how much time the circuit boards are allowed to run through the solder flow machine. What this means, is higher dallor equipment can be badly abused and servive, where as lower end equipment will surely fry if operated out of specification, or in other words, operated with a lower ohm load than recommended, operated in clipping conditions, operated with too hot of a signal going into it. Generally, electronic parts are rated at half of what they can really take. Some manufacturers take advantage of that, & purchase parts that are rated lower, knowing that they can actually take the power needed -- but this means they are running closer to what their actual limits are. Also, because these kinds of items are being run through production faster, to keep costs down, you have more problems with cold solder joints that break down under heavy load.

The other part of this, is that lower end companies will sometimes try to exagerate the power their amplifiers can produce, by writing down peek-to-peek power output, rather than RMS power output. I don't know about all the Technical Pro amps, but I know the first one's you listed, that say they can put out something like 600 Watts into 2 Ohms, per channel, is actually rated at about 95 Watts per channel RMS into 8 Ohms. The rating they provide is in Peek to Peek.

On the other items, like the EQ's, mixers, and such, they will probably be okay for someone on a tight budget, as long as they are not abused. However, you better be offering a warranty, & I would recommend hooking some of these items up yourself to see how they are. I haven't used any of these items personally, so I can not say anything for quality.

What I would recommend, is if after inspecting the non-power amp items yourself, you find them to be acceptable, go ahead and sell some. If you want to sell the amplifiers too, that's okay, but you had better list the RMS power rating at 8 Ohms per channel, or you are going to make some people very, very mad at you.

Since you are looking at selling less expensive equipment, and making some people some good deals, I would highly recommend taking a look at becoming a dealer for Behringer, particularly some of their amplifiers. They are producing an EP1500 and a EP2500 amplifier, which are basically clones of the QSC RMX amps for about half the price. I haven't found a bad review of the Behringer amps yet, and they are becoming more popular. I can get a Behringer EP2500 amp rated at 1200 Watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms (would be somewhere in the range of 3200 Watts Peek to Peek per channel, to compare to your Technical Pro amps, apples for apples) for $300 & free shipping. Also, while Behringer is a budget equipment producer (by comparison to QSC, Crown, etc) it is loads better than Pyle, Pyramid, etc.

Anyway, if you are tied into the Technical Pro stuff, maybe go ahead and sell the non-amplifier stuff, & look at becoming a dealer for Behringer as well, and you will do better. Just my 2 cents. I do not think you are trying to rip anyone off, I suspect you are an honest guy, & I am giving you some honest advice. I wish you luck :)

The rating they provide is in Peek to Peek.

thanks
