So I'm purchasing my first big turntable set. I have a pair of old numark turntables with a busted mixer and I just ordered me a pair of chugs. Im looking for a mixer that I can use with them both and I been doing a lot of research and stuck on 3:

DJ Tech DIF 1M: (About $300) reviews say this is a great scratch mixer, only problem is I hear the cross fader has bleeding issues and may have to get calibrated. don't seem too reliable to me. plus i see little to NO reviews on youtube or on google. So its hard to trust this. the model before this is more basic. has eq knobs but no midi buttons, and this model gets all the good reviews. plus its $199.

DJ Tech DIF-1S ($199)

Numark M2 (Found it for about $80.) got pretty good reviews. Others say its a pretty good mixer and does its job.

DJ Tech DJM 303: Just found this last night, seems like a great mixer. got some pretty solid reviews also. only thing is its an older model mixer & DJ Tech don't even have it on their website, so I'm not sure if I should even rely on this one.

I just want to practice and get better with transitions and beat matching and what not. and also learn some scratching in the process. as you can see from my list, effects aren't necessary, but if theres a good mixer for under $300 that has it included, then ill take it. I'm just sketchy and don't know which company is good/bad. what are some of your experiences with these companies/mixers? and if you were in my position, which would you go with? which would you trust more? DJ Tech or Numark?

Imo at the moment the best bang for your buck mixer is Reloop IQ2Midi (http://www.reloop.com/reloop-iq2-midi).

edit: Oh yeah, and Pioneer DJM250 is a nice little 2 channel mixer with XLR outs and channel filters.

Have you looked into a Mackie d.2? Time tested and built like a tank. Look into how the crossfader is designed.

I have one for sale in the equipment-for-sale section. Extremely reasonably priced.

I have a couple of brand new old stock Denon DNX120s on the shelf that I am blowing out. If you'd like a quote pm or email me your zip code. mike@audiopyle.com

Don't know anything about the pioneer mixer.

Any of them will work.

The best bass will probably come from the digital Reloop and DJ Tech stuff. The best overall sound (with slightly less tight bass) from this price range will come from that little digital Numark DXM 01. I assume the M2 is its replacement, but you'd have to ask Numark. All the analog stuff will come up next, but with the Mackie D2 being the best sounding of them, then probably the Denon. Best crossfaders will be on the Mackie and the new DJ Tech. You can add an Innofader to a lot of them, though.

Also consider...

PPDO1 would probably need some silicone spray shot in the faders for the faders to really last, but the faders are not that expensive and can be replaced with even better ones. All the same on the PPD01. DXM Pro and X5 use a better crossfader.

This is also pretty cheap:

I used to have one of these:

I will recommend not to buy old Mixer...if you like to buy, you probably need to buy new, because there always problem with old ones.
Here you will find some recommendation (http://goo.gl/03VwEh).

I've used quite a selection of nice 2 channel mixers. Out of the ones you have posted above, the djtech 1S is excellent, but a real scratch mixer. The headphone cueing system is very basic also.

My recommendations would be:

Pioneer DJM 250
Allen and Heath Xone 23 (love it with vinyl)

The new Reloop mixers released today look nice also, review will be on DJWorx this afternoon.

There's some brilliant lower end mixers floating about, having owned the Numark M4 previously (http://www.djstore.com/item/mixers/numm4.htm) I can vouch for this being fit for purpose, you'll also have an extra channel for if you decide to get a third deck in the future, or even an extra channel for your iPod or something just when you feel like having background music playing! You can record with this mixer too, can't go wrong with a price tag of £89.99

As mentioned above if you feel like pushing the boat out a little bit both the Pioneer DJM 250 and Allen & Heath Xone 23 are brilliant 2 channel mixers

Hope this helps, good luck!

i have this mixer as my spare. it's nothing to rave about but it does a decent job for what it is.
Cost me like £50.
If you have the money spend a little more if possible.
