Transporting My Gear

Ok so I am prolly gonna spin for a friend's house party. Problem is: I don't have a coffin or any cases for my gear. Budget is tight right now and I could spend like 50 bucks on a case, but try finding something! Since I have two numark axis 2's and a dxm06, ideally I want to buy one of those hardshell cases that come with the fusion 222 package from numark, but they are discontinued and I can't find one anywhere! I'm not one who is really able to build his own coffin. Any help??

Check some of the places on Canal street, I am sure you can probably pick up some cheap cases there. Sometimes you can talk them down a bit. I have bought equipment here before http://www.canalhifi.com

true and thanks for actually finding it. however, it's for TT's (i have axis 2's) so it's way too wide and i would not be able to open my cd trays wth the numarks inside, which would be OK--it would be just for transport, but for like 120 bucks I can get a cdj coffin on ebay thats 28 pounds, fully customizable and has inserts to take out so the trays open. i guess i'm really tryin to cheap it out... thats why i was lookin for some kind of hard nylon, vinyl case like the fusion 222 case because it's not as heavy and width wise it practically form fits the axis models.

problem solved guys i'm just gonna use a suitcase for the 2 cdjs and a heavy bag for the mixer/phones etc

It is a party at a friend's place so you'll have the time to be careful with your equipment...I'd say worry about getting proper cases later.

I have one of those "hardshell cases that come with the fusion 222 package from numark" and i was thinkin about selling it. but im not sure. ill have to get back atcha again, if your still lookin for one of them. i only got it for a 100 bucks. so i would charged you less than that...

also, for my knowledge could you give me the measurements of the mixer compartment? i know my axis 2's will fit in there, but i don't have a matrix 2, i have a dxm06 so I'm curious to know if it would fit in there width-wise.

seen that one a million times on ebay, but thanks. I live in NY so tax would be charged, plus 35 shipping means that coffin would cost me over 150. otherwise, I really was tempted to buy it since it fits my purposes totally.
