So I am wanting to expand my horizons a bit and dig in to dubstep a little.....maybe a lot. I have been digging around the past 2 weeks or so and bought some tracks. I started off a hack spinning mainly south London/Croydon type bass dubstep. I really like that slow dark deep sound so much.

Some of the labels I was running through were Tempa, Deep Medi, Artikal, Uprise Audio, Innamind, Chestplate and Mindstep Music......etc.

Some of the artist I grabbed were Tunnidge, Distance, J:Kenzo, Gantz, Mala, Las, Quantum Soul......etc.

What are some other labels and artist that produce and put out this type of dark dubstep? I have been building a nice collection of Techno, Tech House and Deep House but would like to expand to something else I know I really have a fever for. FEEL ME DOE.

I am not into to any kind of brostep even Caspa is a bit much for me really. Nothing from Circus. Not to discredit these guys, I get what they do, it is dope.

Bring me something good dubstep forum and I will scoop some good stuff and drop some mixes.....not that you care....but thanks in advance.

Hey fat8ack :)

One of the first DS tracks that grabbed my attention was La Roux - In For The Kill (Skream Remix) ....It's old but You may have already herd it ?.... It's dark in nature and the drop is mood to swing ...HOWEVER i had to make an edit at the drop as i thought it was a tiny bit to long of a gap ( Maybe a second to long ? ) .... Anyways this track kicked ass here and still stands up in a big or small room .... SKREAM went on to big things after this :)

I know you dismissed Caspa but i think Where's My Money is worthy for it's drop ... You decide :)

If thats not your bag and you fancy a giggle ... Try Where's my MONKEY :)

Anyone with a passing interest in dubstep should really listen to this Mala/Loefah/Sgt Pokes recording from FWD in 2006. Recently uploaded by Martin (Blackdown).

This is dubstep to me, when a lot of other stuff I really can't stand. I love the dark feels and dub reggae (stoner) vibe. I was really into this style of dubstep when I was a hack and just started DJing. I had most everything from Tempa, DMZ, some Circus and guys like Loefah, Benga, The Others, Skream, some Caspa.....etc. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have an MC!!!

Just to be clear I have absolutely no interest in anything remotely brostep. Datsik, Funtcase, Excision, FLux, Borgore etc.and all that are just not for me.

I really like how Get Darker rolls....

I am going to try and record tonight.....

Should have called this thread "digging beatport dubstep"......

Juno has an entire section for "Deep Dubstep". Pretty much covers what I am looking for.

Great, someone still listens to dubstep as it should be. For me. :D
BTW only Crazy D and G Double do a good job as an MC. They do an amazing job actually.
I've been expanding as well. I'm listening to a lot right now, not only dubstep, everything that The Darkest mentioned.
Here are some picks apart from those... Cluekid, L-Wiz, Heny G, June Miller (Drowning Man is really dark)...
