View Full Version : Using Traktor for the first time in months, forgot about some settings...

A few months ago I formatted my harddrive and hadn't reinstalled Traktor since.

Today I took out my old Traktor Duo box to give it another spin with my X-Session Pro. Since it's been a while I had to peek around to remember how everything exactly worked, but seem to be missing 2 features...

First of all, when I click inside the big waveform, it gives me the ability to drag it. I remember it snapping to the nearest part of the grid before on click, where do I set that up?

Secondly, a mapping problem. Where was it that you could set conditions to your controls, for example "if deck B isn't playing"?

Here's a screenshot of what the settings window looks like in case it would've changed with the latest version:

I really thought it was under modifier conditions, but all I can see are the actual modifiers.

I don't have Traktor in front of me, but there is an option of "Snap" vs "Vinyl" in one of the preference menus. Set it to Snap so that it jumps to the nearest beatgrid.

For the waveforms go to Preferences / then Transport/ then under mouse control choose snap. As for mapping, I believe you are looking for Modifier which is on that screenshot

Which is both exactly what I thought I remembered, but they're not to be seen anywhere :freak:

Yea thats different. I checked Traktor Pro, Traktor Pro S4, and Traktor Scratch Pro 2 and it's all there (both of you're issues). Only thing I can't check is a version of Traktor duo, so maybe its not an option in Traktor Duo

Hmmm which is extremely strange since I'm pretty convinced I used to have them. Only thing different about my setup is that I'm on Lion now instead of Snow Leopard, but would be surprised if that's the issue.
