Classic drum and bass track from the mid 90s (94-95). Piano intro (not "Lighter").

I heard it on sever mix tapes so it's not an unpopular track.

Bass line goes:
Dun-dun-dun-dun dun
Dun-dun dun-dun

Not that one.

After the short piano part, the piano continues with synth that has the same pattern/rhythm as the bassline.

Dun-dun-dun-dun, dun
Dun-dun, dun-dun

No. I've been searching for that song for a long time. I heard it on a Quest tape. Nexus?/Ned Ryder? started a set with it. On another mixtape, Sy?/Seduction? mixed in after a Happy Hardcore track. I believe it was a more intelligent style drum and bass track.

The piano was not ominous sounding like "Lighter". It was more nicer. The piano, the synth, and the bass has the same pattern to it.

Piano:
4 keys, one key
The synth and the bass stuck to that "4, 1" and "2-2" pattern.

I know the first and third track. They are not it.

Aarrgghh!

I appreciate your help.

Piano intro.

Piano/synth/bassline rhythm:
4 keys/beats, (pause) one key/beat
2 keys/beats, (pause) two keys/beats (or sometimes one key then 2 keys)

Jungle beat does the reversing sound at the end of a few verses.

"Heeeeeeeeeeey-yaaaaaaaaaah" sang a few times at the beginning of a verse.

Towards the end of the track, fast repeating bassline only and the sound of laser fire right before the jungle beat returns.

It's sung by male voice and it lasts as long as a set of 4/1 & 2/2 beats/rhythms.

Start of a verse:
"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-
dun-dun-dun-dun (pause) dun

"yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
dun-dun (pause) dun, dun-dun

dun-dun-dun-dun (pause) dun

dun-dun (pause) dun-dun

I know the frustration. Join www.backtotheoldskool.co.uk and post a thread there asking for help and include everything from this thread. I bet it will be solved quickly because that place has some gurus. If possible include the notation of melodies or bass lines to make it easier for people to hear what you are hearing. I was close to doing that myself recently for Omni Trio - Soul Promanade until I found it through listening someones mix on youtube. Grooverider used to work wonders with that track but I never knew the name. There is also the long game of scouring discogs and checking all the tracks you find on youtube and knowing DJs who mixed the track and the year it was popular is ideal for narrowing down the search.
