I'm looking to take my scratch mixing to the next level with the use of a scratch mixer. I love everything about my DJM 900 Nexus, but I don't get those crisp cuts with the crossfader. I want a mixer that is equal in sound quality to the DJM 900 Nexus, effects, 4 channel etc, goes hand in hand with Traktor DJ, and the CDJ 2000 Nexus etc. yet allows me to perform great sharp cuts with a mixer. Any recommendations?

Your best option is to fit your DJM-900 with an Innofader to solve your problem. The DJM-900 is a wonderful mixer and is the best 4-channel with effects there is (even better than the DJM-200 in my opinion). So looking for another mixer to equal it just to use it primarily for scratching would be quite difficult. You can also look into the Allen & Heath DB2/DB4 but I personally never liked the feel of A&H mixers.

Hey, thanx for the comment. So with the "innofader", will it give me the same result as a good scratch mixer? So what do I do, order the "Innofader", then have someone put it in? Or is it pretty easy to install? Also, for resale purposes, can the original fader be installed with no problem?

pretty easy to install, theres usualy a pretty detailed guide for each mixer on the website. i put one in my old A&H xone 02 and that thing was a beast. well worth it and worth the little bit of time it takes to tweak it so its just right.

Kutski did a video a while ago with an innofader on the DJM-900.

The Innofader PNP is the one you want for your mixer - the same as the guy is using in the video that Era 7 posted. There's a few different models, so make sure you get the right one.
