Sorry if this has been answered already but I did a search and I could not find a good post/reply. Also a little lazy at the moment :P.

How do you make/create those classic intro samples:

1. "Your listening to DJ (fill in the blank)"
2. "DJ (fill in the blank) is in the mix"
3. "DJ (fill in the blank) on the 1's and 2's"
4. "DJ (fill in the blank)"

1. These are one shot samples right...???
2. You use a DAW right...??? What if I don't have the equipment/DAW...??
3. How do you make it so it sounds like that "classic man's voice" that we are familiar with in the club's...???
4. I can probably just pay another DJ to make one for me if I don't have the equipment right...???

HI :)

Not sure if this will help ...But you can DL a demo version of FL studio to create a intro ... Collect / Make your samples and put them in the sequencer and then mix them down all in one program.

FL Studio Demo DL >>> http://www.image-line.com/downloads/flstudiodownload.html

The voice you can create yourself with a voice modulator ;)

Or .... You could pay someone around $30 to make you one .... Lot's of places online now

Here's one i just dug out of the Google >>> http://www.musicradiocreative.com/create/custom-audio/227

Good luck :)

Check www.fiverr.com, there are tons of people that will record DJ drops for you and you can get away with it for less than $30 for sure.

Personally, I just paid for the raw vocals and made my own intro in Ableton, then use that and my master mix file in Audacity to create the end product. You could definitely save these drops as samples if you are interested in live-dropping these in your mixes. Personally I find DJ drops in the middle of mixes annoying but whatever floats your boat

A lot of hip-hop DJs make their own using samples from hip-hop tracks, which I much prefer to the "radio announcer" type ones. With a name like "DJ Betta" it would be easy, as there's obviously loads of hip-hop tracks where the MC says "DJ" and there's also plenty where they say the word "better". Then it's just a case of getting a little creative in a multitrack DAW.

Here's some DJ name samples I made for a mate using samples. These aren't complete drops, but he just wanted names built up of samples (DJ Class-E, M-Style, DJ Sigma and Bobby Tempo): -

A few other options: -

1. Try and get a well-known DJ/artist to record a drop for you.
2. Get a little kid to do it. Sometime's a young kid's voice sounds way cooler than those generic ones.
3. Use a voice synthesiser or record your own voice and add effects (morphoder can sound cool).

Sigma, how did you do the samples at the start of that thing I listened to recently?
