So you say you always wanted a big McIntosh amp with those big blue meters but you couldn't afford it? Well here is your chance to get the next best thing. McIntosh just released a free music app for your computer, iPhone or Android that will stream free music and give you a big McIntosh amp display to fool all your friends. You can find the computer version here: http://www.customchannels.net/streaming/mcintosh/ I got the app for my iPad and it looks fantastic.

Man... get out of here. I'm looking for the rrreeeal deal. :ussmug: I was about to pull the trigger on an early '90s model 2-channel home amp as well as brand new car amps but that power draw on the car stuff turned me off. Unless I have a brand new vehicle with Dynomat'd interior and all top-tier components, I will just have to stick with the little Alpine car amps.

I own an early 90's 2 channel home amp, MC7300. I wish I had a car amp, but it will probably just end up getting stolen. The new app is cool, but you can only listen to music they pick, you can't listen to your own stuff. Luckily they got good taste.

Sweet amp! I was looking at that and the MC7270 in the early 2k's. I held off because of DJ'ing interests kicking in.

I'm wanting to drive a pair of Hartley speakers:

Those are some bad ass speakers! One tip I can give you on buying a used McIntosh amp is to try to find one that has been recently serviced. Getting one recapped with a new faceplate can add another $1000 to the price of a used amp. So buying one that had that done already can save you some money.
