Thoughts on my "proposed" new logo

This isn't final yet, I have just drew this up as a draft, Im pretty happy with it but would like a few thoughts or critiques?

Also I realise this isn't a Dj related post but I would appreciate input from people that are into logo's etc and this was the best place I know of :)

Not a fan of the text... Make it more "strong" and sleek to correspond with your little guy on the left. Also add a drop shadow (very minimal) and some inner bevel on the text to match the steel look.

The "logo" part on the left is alright, but I don't like the text. I would go with something more like this: -

I think it looks better when the whole thing looks more rectangular and with cleaner looking text, although I made that in 2 minutes and wouldn't necessarily use that particular font.

Yea thanks to you both :tup: I've also asked a few mates and the feedback all seems to be the same, the logo is cool but the text needs to change, I will have it done in that rectangle format as you suggested, I agree it looks good that way, I just need to work on a font that goes with the image.

i'll just agree with the others. i would use a heavy type face for the personal training and a lighter one for your name. (use same one, but heavy / light - helvetica or similar, but sans serif for sure)

I like that one too, but I'm also a fan of beveled edges on the lettering to make it a bit less like a standard font, that could make it "pop" :)

Not bad, i just find the silver and red way off for the icon. Also the head? Shouldn't that be red aswell? Also, is it just me or is that like X-men?

If you change the silver, make it the same colour as Chris... or Personal Training to have consist colour scheme

I personally think this feedback is good. The silver IMO doesn't go with the red.

Looks good but just finally add a shadow to Person Training or remove it from Chris... what ever looks better :)

Personally, knowing this now, I wouldn't want to move forward with the logo. I agree that he "should be safe" but should you do it? Now that's subjective, but I wouldn't now.

Everything happens for a reason Chris. Also, when you get the logo made, try to get it icon and text only, so you can place it anywhere. Not sure if you already have it like this, and just happened to put it in contrast with a white background, just figured I'd shoot that thought out there.

Yea I highly doubt a small company in Chicago are going to know about me running a self employed PT business in Perth, lol, I will only be using the logo for letter heads, documents, promo stuff and the only thing that might be an issue is my Facebook page, however I still highly doubt it will be an issue, if by any obscure chance it does become an problem ill change it.

99% sure that the logo is just a stock art img man


-no graphic design credit anywhere on the site
-using a wordpress template; def did not pay for web creator/admin. No name listed; or if they did they certainly got ripped off
-personally, if I had the design ability to create that graphic icon thingy, I wouldve done a waaaay better job with the logo as a whole instead of just going with the font/layout they chose.

Which all leads me to think that they have done the same thing chris is doing. Using some stock image and adding font (not detracting from your design ability, but that's what it is ha :tup: )

Could be wrong...
