Headz up - SOLO BANTON will be coming with The Mighty Mungo's Hi-Fi Full Sound System instead of Mr Williamz - hopefully Mr Williamz will be back another time, in the meantime MUNGO'S HI-FI & SOLO BANTON on this date -crucial Reggae Dub & Dancehall runnings everytime -

After a long career in the reggae music business as a top sound-man and producer, Solo Banton began as a recording artist after linking with Kris Kemist of Reality Shock. Kemist persuaded him to jump in the booth & record a track called “The Warning”... the rest is history. Solo is a natural born entertainer & was immediately recognised for his vintage deejay style and intelligent (often comical) lyrical content. He soon found himself in great demand for his musical talents, working with the likes of Jahtari, Maffi, Zion Gate Hifi & Dubkasm and recording hit after hit; Songs like ‘Talk To Me’, ‘Walk Like Rasta’, ‘Old Time Something’, ‘No’, ‘Bun Babylon Coke’, ‘Joke Ting’, ‘Chalice Haffi Blaze’ & many more.

In 2010 the debut album ‘Walk Like Rasta’ dropped & since then Solo has been permanently on the road, touring ever further afield, performing both on sound systems and with Reality Shocks’ resident Upper Cut Band. His live performances have gone from strength to strength, with Solo’s very lighthearted style, his message comes across very well and is easy to understand. Within minutes he has the crowd exactly where he wants them then slams down track after track, always leaving the party-goer very satisfied and asking for more Solo Banton..

Mungo's Hi Fi are a sound system based in Glasgow, Scotland that follow the original Jamaican sound system tradition. After working together as the Dub Dentists, Tom Tattersall and Doug Paine founded the group in 2000, writing, recording, producing and performing their own brand of reggae and dub music, working in collaboration with other artists and producers. They were joined in 2002 by Craig Macleod, in 2006 by Jerome Joly and in 2012 by James Whelan.

Bringing up-to-date reggae, dub and dancehall sounds to Glasgow across the city in venues such as the Glasgow School of Art, the sound system quickly became part of a wider reggae network with a hectic schedule of live performance, both djing and as a sound system at clubs and events across the UK and Europe. Numerous festival appearances have seen Mungo's Hi Fi brought to Glastonbury, Womad, Outlook and various other festivals where they have hosted stages and tents, performing and bringing some high profile artists to the UK.

Support from Chungo Bungo & Miss DLove.
