I just got a Pioneer EFX-1000 from my friend who didn't need it anymore. My question is, how does the EFX work and how do I use it during a mix? I've been using the built-in effects with my DJM-800 therefore I know what some of the effects does, but there are some effects which I've never seen before like Transform. A little help here?

here's a link to a video on youtube about the EFX-1000. Ellaskins (THE "DJ Tutor") uses it with a DJM-800. Hope it helps. Watch his videos, he's the best

There are a few videos of James Zabiela demonstrating how the EFX1000 works... think they're on YouTube otherwise I think he did a BBC video too showing how he uses the effects in his sets.

Normally I find effects are annoying when they're over used but James Zabiela is such a master that he gets away with it whereas other DJs just sound shite using the same effect for each transition over and over and over again.
