First time poster here so as I said before sorry if this is repetitive. I, like many of you before me, am in the stage of trying to get started w/ DJing. I figured the best place for me to start would be getting a headset and am trying to decide between the Sennheiser HD280 Pro and the Numark RED WAVE. Does anyone have experience with either of these or suggestions on them?

Welcome to the Forum!
The most important thing IMO is the way the headset will feel, if its uncomfortable your not going to care if it sounds amazing or like crap. In terms of "what sounds better" that's really up to you, as everyone finds a different sound of headphone to their liking. If your able to demo the headphones before you buy them then that's the way to do it.
In terms of which brand is better I would go with Sennheiser over Numark, ive tried a few different Sennheiser products and ive found them to be well built and comfy. The HD 25 II get some good reviews all over the place so they might be worth checking out if they are within your price range.

As of now I don't really have a good place to try them out which is why I wanted to get the opinion of people who would know better than I would.
Gjhowe1 - Do you use the HD25II's? By the way, I appreciate your input.

Ive used them, but i don't own a pair. They are light which i really liked and they sound good IMO.
I currently have a pair of pioneer hdj-1000's I use. They sound great but are overpriced. I would still take the Sennheiser over them.

One last question......Should I consider the Sony MDR-V700DJ's? Or would the Sennheiser hd280 Pro still be better?
