Hey All,

It's cool the forum's up. I haven't posted much yet - pretty swamped with the Innofader PNP and taking care of business in general - but I'm here just so ya know! Feel free to post any Innofader related questions and I'll do my best to get back to you guys promptly or Punky will keep me posted :)

Welcome back and let's build this forum back up again!

Welcome back, my Innofader has been running like an absolute dream ever since I installed it. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit more from their mixer. Awesome support too, as this thread shows.

Will there be an Innofader made for the Pioneer DJM-250? Because the DJM-250 doesn't show on the list of compatible mixers.

Does the reverse funciton on most mixers still work with the innofader. Specifically the Vestax 06 and the Pioneer DJM-909??? Also is there going to be one produced for the Rane 62.

The Innofader Pro does work on the line faders of the Rane TTM56, but it's not a simple plug and play situation. It can be a slightly complicated install. Here are the instructions (http://www.innofader.com/mixers.php?id=66). If this looks daunting to you, Virtual Sound Technology (http://www.vstservice.com/) can do the install for you, for a fee.

If you own a DJM-250 and a multimeter, and you want to do some measurements for us, we could tell you if it works.

The reverse function should work just fine.

We're in the process of working out an Innofader Pro mod for the Rane 62. Stay tuned.

My DJM250 will be arriving in a few days. I also have a multimeter. SO how do I go about it and what should I measure?

My DJM250 will be arriving in a few days. I also have a multimeter. SO how do I go about it and what should I measure?

1) Try to see how the original fader is mounted. Hole dimensions & spacing, fader plate mounting, slot size, etc.. anything that can help me figure out how to mount the Innofader.
2) Measure the voltages on the pins going to the crossfader. Check them and move the fader back and forth to see if the fader back and forth movement causes one of the signals to move.

Not yet. There's a warranty seal on my unit and I'm afraid that if I tamper it, the warranty will be voided. I'll probably open up my unit a year after the warranty is over. :)

Will the innofader fit the new Pionneer DDJ-SX? If not, would it be possible for you to create crossfaders that fit controllers as that could be a big market for you, cheers.

While I can't speak to SSX compatibility specifically, the mini-Innofader isn't available as an after market upgrade yet.

Hey man,

What's probably happening is that you've set the curve on the fader itself too sharp. Soften the curve up a bit and your external curve control pot should work again.

No, unfortunately, it is not. If you go here: http://www.innofader.com/mixers.php?id=66 you will see that there's a somewhat complicated calibration inherent in the install. It's definitely not plug and play.

Wish we could make it easier, but Rane essentially has their own factory calibration that we need to get the Innofader Pro to work in the TTM_56. I'm here to help out if anyone has questions about this. I've helped many DJs through this.

A lot of guys are asking about us doing a mini Innofader as a retail product, and yes this is in the cards. The current one that's on some products now like the Traktor Z2 is a very basic model which has limited compatibility.

Elliot, is there any way to do a DIY adjustment on the mini-Innofaders to turn a "stiff" one into a "loose" one?

A guy I know just bought a Z2 and he really likes it, but he describes the line faders as "stupidly stiff". I know it was Native Instruments' call, rather than yours, but that kinda sucks for a DJ like me. If there's no DIY method of loosening the faders, will the "loose" versions of the mini-Innofaders be sold separately? What I would probably do is put a full fat Innofader in as the crossfader, put the "loose" mini that was used as the crossfader as one of the lines, then buy a replacement "loose" mini for the other line. In fact, would you do a swap of a "stiff" line fader for a "loose" one, or maybe a trade in at a discount? :P

I really want a Z2 now, but stiff faders can feck right off!

Elliot would know the answer to this question better than me, but you could always install full sized Innofaders in the Z2's line faders. It would save you the time of waiting for the retail mini-Innofader.

I could, but they're £140 each! :D

I have an Innofader Pro already, but I've not fitted it yet. What I want to do is fit that in as the crossfader, use the old crossfader for one of the line faders, then I'll buy another "loose" mini Innofader for the other line fader.

BTW, are there detailed instructions for fitting Innofader Pros into the Z2 anywhere? It's not the easiest fader in the world to fit and I want to make sure I do it right so I don't damage the mixer.

Cheers.

For the Innofader Pro the standard VCA installation will work fine.

In fact, would it be possible to sell me a "loose" mini Innofader now? Then I can fit my Innofader Pro and sort the line faders out at the same time.
