I am looking to replace my 2 ADJ Tri-Gem with something a bit brighter, and that I can control via DMX.

I would like something with gobo's rather than the LED dots, and so far I haven't found anything like this at a decent price!!

Can anybody suggest anything to me??

That's because moonflowers are an 80s/90s thing that's being phased out. No one really wants an LED DMX moonflower.

That being said, Chauvet came out with the Obsession LED 2.0 unit, the DMX LED version of my old halogen Obsession.

Thanks.

I have just come across the Obsession 2.0, but in looking at the manual it doesn't seem to give any idea of whether you can control the speed of the rotation, just whether the mirror and/or gobos will rotate. It does give a range of values for each one, but it doesn't say whether that is speed control or not, and I can't seem to find any videos anywhere that show if this is the case or not.

Any suggestions on something other than moonflowers then?? I usually have them on right from the beginning of an event, with parcans colouring the room/dancefloor, and then kick in everything else later on, so I want something that I can control but isn't massively flashy etc. and I can keep just focused on the dancefloor.

The one that Djzrule suggested looks like what you are describing you are looking for.

Other than that, I have a Chauvet Vue 4.1 and I really like the light. It's not gobos but it puts out a cool show. And it pretty decently bright especially when I turn on all the leds. Oh it also rotates. I couldn't be more happier at $70 I paid for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-334N39ds8
