Anyone else disappointed in the direction this genre is going. I understand that its going thru a transition and is becoming more mainstream, but I honestly loved it back when it had rhythm. I'm currently taking a break in the genre as much as it upsets me because I just cannot even stand the song I spin anymore :( . Always remember the good times....

theres still some really good stuff being put out there, just gotta hunt for it. ive found a good bit of stuff just from people on soundcloud thats pretty good. also hardstyle.com has good tracks on it, but like i said you really gotta hunt on there.

i am really disappointed with dubstyle, way too much wobbly bass nowadays, not nearly enough melody.

Hardstyle has been going down hill for a few years now. I took a break from it for about a year, but just recently have gotten back in to it. Like Dr. Kamikazi said, there's still some good stuff be produced, it's just few and far between.

Oh ya, check out my latest hardstyle mix :slayer:

Agreed, although I do enjoy most of it though :)

I want early hardstyle to come back :(
All those dark raw beats... I <3 them!

I don't follow Hardstyle too closely, but a lot of gabber that's been getting out lately has been getting so insanely trancey, it's really irritating. >< Also, Neophyte and Tha Playah's 2012 remix of Chosen Few's "Name of my DJ" was SO cookie-cutter, UGH. Lots of good tracks still ringing around the gabber department, though.
