Hey guys I want to buy a new mixer. Actually the first one I ever bought. I am 16 years old and would like to start to mix with a controller. I already tried a few months mixing on the mac. Now I need your help. I looked in the internet and now i need your help to choose one: so just say me the one you like or the pros and cons :)

thank you, alex

Just so you know none of those are mixers. There all controllers. Just letting you know so you dont get confused and buy stuff you dont need.

And about those controllers, I'm sure someone will drop by with more knowledge on them then me. I've only played on turntables.

Good Luck!

You'll have more luck in the Digital DJ section.

I have never owned an all-in-one controller (like those) and haven't used them extensively. But if I were to buy one, I'd pick a price range and whether or not I wanted to use Serato Itch. Itch requires specific controllers…so using it would limit your options.

As for all-in-ones in general and the ones you picked…they're all intro-level gear and the differences between them are kind of meh. If you want to do something like scratching, see if you can feel the jog wheels and pick the one that feels vaguely natural.

The Hercules you listed is one of the older ones with really crappy jog wheels.

Other than that, I think I'd probably just pick the largest one and be done with it.

Out of all the controllers you posted the mixtrack Pro is most likely your best bet, i've herd good things about it as an entry level controller. However if you have the funds to go up to something like an S2 or Xone DX i feel like they are better controllers both in build quality and functionality. Whats your budget?

agreed.. mixtrack is an ok controller for starting out. I was using a mixdeck for a short while, and it did its job.. Highly recommend the S2 for not a whole lot more.. the sound quality is much improved over any of the listed controllers, and has lots more features etc. (but only 2 channel). but I don't use a controller either, so just going off of limited experience with them

I have the S4. If you can't swing that then get the S2.

http://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/dj/traktor-kontrol-s2/comparison-chart/

You get the FULL version of Traktor... so that addresses any perceived cost savings of other controllers.
