Hey all! I decided that I want to get a powered sub to add to my sound system. Right now I have a pair of RCF art312as. I found 2 great deals on subs. First is the JBL prx718 I found used for $600. Then I found an RCF 705AS for $750. I want to know what the better deal is and which would provide the best quality. I was leaning toward the RCF because it is the same brand and made for my tops, but I've heard the prx718 is a great sub. So is the RCF worth the extra $150, or should I go with the Prx?
Get the RCF 705AS, Is a great sub and packs a punch for its size!

The guy just lowered the prx718 to $560, its making me lean toward the JBL now! But if the RCF would definitely be worth the extra (almost) $200 now, I will still go with that. I've never heard of RCF being known as the JBL of Europe either?

For $560, thats a great price
I would go with that one. However, if you ever want to add, it might not be as easy to find another one

I do believe that there is a newer model of the 705 AS. I think it is a digital amp model or is the other one band pass. The new one is 700W 15" the old one is 800 Class H amp. Unless I am wrong.

If you go for the 705 what one of these would it be?

The 2nd link is the new models.
I have that sub in the 18" model. Sounds really good. I have an event this sunday with about 200 ppl. Im taking 2 Art312s and the 2 718AS subs. Ill let you know how they do.
I did do a test of the 2 subs outside my house and I was very very impressed. They share the same amp so i assume volume will be similar, you just won't get as much thump and low end with the 15.
