I'm now facing a huge undetaking, I upgraded to broadband a few days ago and went online (tried it on the laptop first), my firewall took a real battering. So I ran an antivirus check and found a load of virii (12 in total) of which one had infected most of the files in my Sweetlight folder and it cleaned my entier lighting sequences by permanently deleting them.

Guess what, did'nt make a backup since adding the Spotknights :banghead: So i've pretty much lost everything and i've gotta start from scratch again. It's only taken about a month of work to write all the sequences, so it looks like i'm gonna be real busy for a while

Anyway, I just wanted to make a point, if you use a computer based lighting system make loads of backups it'll save you major headaches in the long run.

I can't agree more, I wouldnt normally but the woman was still in bed and I did'nt want my mammoth PC with loads of fans which is right next to the bed waking her up (I'd have had to take her for some retail therapy to make up for it) so the ADSL modem arrived that morning (not thinking about the consequences) I just hooked it up and kissed goodye to all my sweetlight software and user files.

Worm's, trojans and loads of other virii' in the space of about 10 minutes. Nothing else lost except all my lighting sequences and software, they really know how to hit you where it hurts.
