Been in touch with Decksavers a few times over the last year or two, trying to get some action with little joy.

I've got a Rane Empaths and Stanton ST-150s sitting here and the amount of dust they gather is whack, but I'm loath to cover them in towels and junk.

Can anyone help? Wanting to know (pics?) how well/badly the Decksavers for the Rane 56/57 and Technics 1200s might fit my gear...

get an australian flag and cover your gear up with that? more classy than towels and bed sheets.

*thinks he just vomitted a little*

We don't do patriotism down here. And those that do typically get branded as racist.

You know those bread bins/loaf cupboards?

Building a custom console with a cover simiar to this (slatted; draws back to expose equipment; maybe a little less of an arc) would be joy.

Until then, hoping some crew here might have access to the requesite kit.

I use a pair of stanton soft covers a friend gave me. Someone might sell something similar or you could make some (depending on how handy you are feeling with a sewing machine)

I just use a towel. Don't care what someone else thinks.

This place has covers for almost everything. If you can find what you are looking for, they'll custom make it for you. I got some for my cd players and mixer, and I love them.

Grew up copping a lot of flak not being caucasian.

(Interesting you can't make 'caucasian' without 'asian')

Read up about the Cronulla Riots from a couple of years back...these days, I avoid going out on the national holiday (Australia Day) - but then true-blue wife is the same - and avoid anyone with Southern Cross stamped anywhere on their body.

*shrugs*

Not caring what other people think, with respect to what I put on there: just don't want anything tacky.

Cheers, Hausgeist, I'll have a peek. Still. Anyone with those Decksavers, givvus ahoy.

Those look good, allow for easy storage, and seem to be a better deal than Decksavers.

You can try this guy http://www.turntabledepot.com/home.php He can make you some custom covers out of plexiglas. You can also make them yourself the same way he does. Check out this article http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=149130 You can also get one made by a local plastic fabricator in your town. Find out who in your town sells plexiglas by the sheet, give them a call, and see if the can recommend somebody local.

I use a cheap, plastic picnic table cover to place over my mixer and turntables.

I think he's found what he wanted 16 months ago.
