So bright, I had to shield myself...
Wow, that looks pretty awesome. Like from that J-Lo video. You gotta have one hell of a light show if you use everything you have for one gig. lol :)

Looks cool James, i'd be happy to add one of those to my mobile rig. Was that 100mW, if so I bet that cost some $$$. :)

Alot of the time, It's going sooo fast... Is there a way to slow them down?
Or is it just the view of where the video was taken from?

Well, when I took the video and edited it it was fine, the windows media sped up the video you can freeze it and do whatever you want with it... even bean pointing for mirrors... that is just it on it's test mode.

Seeing your movie and also just saw it at a party it seems to be almost spinning out of control....fast as hell...
I know there is some kind of speedcontrol but does it work in sound active mode...not just when using dmx...to slow the thing down abit?
And if soo...can you adjust the speed without using a dmx controller....like most other laser which have one of thoose sensitivity knobs on the back....
Otherwise it seems to be a greet laser...thinking of getting one myself... :)

You can freeze it on frame, speed controll, x-y axis placement, zoom controls, all from the DMX controller.. without a controller it is sound activated only.. You can pick up a cheap sliver based dmx controller pretty cheap, you will have to use 7 faders for it though.

Ok.. :)
found this cheep one : http://www.botex.com/3/dc1216.html
U think it will work?
jamesnet

Yup, you just need to set the starting DMX at 001 on both and you should be good to go...
Just remember you may need a combination of all 7 faders to get the desired effects.
ALso check to see if you laser is the version 1 (has manual turn knobs to set dmx) or version 2 (Digital readout) the version 1 takes two dmx channels, version 2 takes 7 dmx channels

never heard of a decent laser system for anything less than 10 Grand and that would be low end.

True....
But u dont really need a softwarecontrolled, watercooled 1Watt+ fullcolour laser if u just gonna use it in smaller clubs... :spin:
