What kind of money am I looking at if I'm picking up a pair in pretty good condition?

Depends where you live. I see fools trying to get 800-1000 for a pair of mk2's. I personally wouldn't spend more than 600 for a pair of mk2's, and up to a 1000 for mk5's.

So I guess you can guage it between 500 if your lucky and up to 800. And as I said it depends on location, and also obviously condition and how much they push the "there not made anymore, so there super rare" bullshit.

Good Luck, I'm personally trying to find a deal on mk5's as we speak, just holding out for the right pair.

^^^This is 100% true. If you live in a city there Technics aren't coveted and Craigslist prices aren't blown up sky high, you have a good chance getting Technics for $300 each. If you live in a big city where people list items based on what the last guy listed (not necessarily sold) the item for, you'll be looking at $400-$450 each.

I would not let mine go for less than 5-600 each. I just had them reconditioned to better than new and a bright ass blue led put in for the record light. They are in excellent condition and wouldnt sell the pair for less than 1200 and I have 1200 m3d's.

Brought two mk2's for £280 recently, needed some minor repairs, bargain IMO. Saw some joker putting a brand new boxed mk2 on ebay for a £1000 recently

I paid 700€ for my pair, proper carts needles and very good condition and that sum includes posting 'em from Sweden. Got a nice deal from the neighbour country

I paid 550 euros for the pair, paintwork was as good as new, all lights worked. Pitch needed calibration though

Could have got 'em cheaper from Estonia lad, also they are probably homosexual.

Just sold my 14 year old pair of M3Ds for $800. Then bought a pair of M5Gs for $1200, and a pair of MK5s for $1000, these were practically brand new, complete with all original accessories and boxes. My buddy bought them a few years ago, when he wanted to become a DJ. He never actually put forth the effort to learn the skill, and now I'm the proud owner of 2 pairs of barley used Technics.
