So I just finished my new DJ table (write-up and pix soon to follow) and considering it's all black I decided to give it a little character. I remembered a few years ago when I posted up my remote-fader, somebody commented how cool it was that I made it out of a Fossil watch tin so that's what I used for this project. I was using Littlites goos-neck lamps with TNC to BNC connectors and figured they'd make a great base. Because the tin is so flimsy I had to cut and drill a square piece of steel and attach it to the underside of the lid to reinforce it.
Here's one of the tins with the BNC female connector, power connectors (2 for power pass-though), and on/off switch.

I also had to add some weight to it to keep it stable so I filled it with rocks.:teef:

Originally I was just going to make power connectors with regular wires (see previous pic) but thought they'd be unsightly, so I found flexible goose-neck tubing to use instead. I got these at my local computer shop for about 2 bucks each and gutted them.
