Info on this Laser?

the guy i know who owns it doesn't know much about it. he says it changes colors and circular patterns/size to the music. anyone know what model or any info in this laser? thanks a bunch!

since it seems no one knows much about this laser, would it be a good idea to ask for someting like 100 bux for it? ideas? :monkey:

Changes color? hmmmm, multicolor lasers are expensive, so if it truely does have multiple lasers it would be expensive.. Are you sure it is a laser? or just an effect?
By the name laserFX may mean it isn't and just a light inside...

RGB lasers cost an absolute mint (at least 10K) so I think your light as james said is going to be a lamp driven effect fixture.

Can you get some more info off it from the data plate like manufacturers name and model no. and i'll search for it.

nm it was on ebay and was advised on another board "i would not buy that unless it was given to me for free"

I see that a lot on Ebay too...it is not an actual laser but rather a really old novelty lighting effect that used to be sold at Spencer's. It projects thin multicolored light beams off a mirror inside it.

Yeah, these things are terrible. Not bright at all, and won't produce a tight beam/pattern from very far away.

If you have to have something cheap though, a few of them might produce a cool effect with the right fog/smoke/haze...
