What are you referring to with your use of the term "better then"?

It has features that you're not going to use such as flyware points but it has a good build quality, good frequency response & decent SPL with good sound quality that will compliment the RCF 312a tops.

yes I just though maybe it was worth it? but naaaah I'm stuck at the question right now about if for the same price i can get a jblxlf and ls801 which is better, i only want one sub and i use rcf312a and it needs to do large rooms but 400 people

The VRX918S/SP/SRX718 (same subwoofer) use a better driver than the PRX618S-XLF...

Unless you're only doing wedding type gigs then you're going to want more then just a pair of RCF 312a tops for an audience of 400 in large rooms. Grab another pair of the the RCF 312a tops & do a FOH with remote delay setup with the four tops then go for a pair of the JBL XLF or JBL VRX subs & you'll have the coverage & SPL your looking for while maintaining good sound quality.

so a single JBL xlf would be more than enough to cover a wedding?

For a wedding, yeah it'll be cutting it close but as long as your expectations aren't overly high then it will be ok.

Sometimes honestly my clients want bass turned down in mid sized parties because the rcf's can actually shake your heart if you play certain songs. so if the jbl can just hold down the dance floor with bass that you can feel thats all i need.

I'm going with JBL final answer thanks!!!!, btw +1 rep for all the people who helped me out with information. cheers!
