I need help looking for a mobile DJ lighting setup.I do all my gigs alone and size and weight are my main concerns. I am already carrying 2 tops and 2 subs to my gigs I am looking for setup I can put on a T-Stand. How many lights and affects can I put on a stand without it looking crazy? I also want all the lights and affects to be able to fit in 1 bag I can just throw over my shoulder. My parties are usually 150 people or less and my price range is 1500$-2000$ max for now and maybe add more in a couple of months if needed. thanks

Not sure if you saw this, but http://www.djforums.com/forums/showthread.php?340-DJ-Lighting-The-Complete-Evolving-Guide is a good place to start. It helped me when I was starting my lighting rig and may give you a couple ideas.

Take a look at the lighting sticky. Lots of good info there.

4-Bar Tri/4-Play or 6-Spot setup would work nicely for you if you're looking for quick, simple, and easy to carry. Maybe throw in an Intimidator Spot Duo in there if you want to get some motion.

I know how it is. You want something simple, portable and cost-effective. Right now my favorite light unit is my American DJ Micro Galaxian - http://www.guitarcenter.com/American-DJ-Micro-Galaxian-Laser-106389356-i1735290.gc - I bought one for a prom I did last week and it is awesome. It lights up a big room really nicely. It's best to project against a wall or ceiling in my opinion but you can decide what works best for you. Just keep in mind with lasers you gotta be careful so that people don't look at it and damage their eyes. You can use this all by itself for your applications and because of it's size you can easily put it on your speaker stands.

This is one of my simple setups. I wired it so I only need to run one power plug off the lights, and the wing nut at the T part of it comes off and I can walk off with it pre-wired and the stand in the other hand. Total cost was around $350.

Blizzards Weather System is just what you're looking for.

About the same cost as the 4 and 6 head units with better coverage. Comes with carry bags, tripod and foot controller.
