Guys, was checking the 'homepage' and there is a problem with the www (forum) and non-www (homepage). You will not be logged in, if you switch between those urls. Make sure there will be only one extension: www OR non-www.

Check it out: http://djforums.com/ and http://www.djforums.com/forums/forum.php

Solution: htaccess rewrite

1.0 was like this, bugged me, but I always typed www just out of sheer habit.

Just happened to me again. Also, my page resizing is different for the two (I set the sizes).

Yeah you guys need to pick one and redirect all the traffic to it. You'll get penalized for duplicate content in google otherwise.

I do it like this in the .htaccess:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^djforums\.com
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.djforums.com/$1 [R=301,L]

This will make everything www.

First off, I'm going to look at it, but DJF 1.0 was like this for 10 years, no penalty.

And done. :)

Great! It's working fine right now.
But I prefer without www by myself, because it looks more cleaner :)

I'm old. Back in my day we HAD to put www... :(

P.S. back in my day, my English teacher would've hit me with a ruler if I typed "more cleaner." :P
