I need a new one... I haven't tried calling the manufacturer "Omron" yet, would just like to buy online

Any radioshack should have those in stock. It's just a microswitch, bring it into the store and check out the pull-out drawers they have, you'll find the switch there near the resistors and LEDs.

Most electronic component shops have them. You can also try Radioshack. Search for D2MSL switch.

So i got the swithch... whats the difference between 5A contact rating on the new one and 1A contact rating on the old?

Sounds like the new one has better contacts since it can handle 5 Amps, so theoretically, it should last longer.
