Control iTunes From iPad/iPhone?

I am bringing my mobile gear for a friends party. I want to know if there is a way to have itunes running and let people be able to access my library like a jukebox app so people can make requests and stuff like that and itunes just plays it. This would be ideal so people can just use their phones.

Second option is i could have my macbook hidden and just set out my ipad and link my ipad to my itunes and have people use the ipad to make requests and stuff.

EDIT - After reading your post again, this doesn't do what you want, lol, but I'll leave this post as it is anyway.

I use an app called Remote for iTunes from a company called Hyperfine. I actually use the Android version and I use it with MediaMonkey, not iTunes, but it works great on iOS and with iTunes too of course. Link: -

Thanks Sigma! I am using the Remote app on my ipad to control itunes right now. Will they both run together?

Check my edit to the post I made mate. This isn't going to be suitable for other people to use to make requests. It would be for you to control iTunes remotely, as when you select a track it begins to play immediately. Sorry about that. I jumped the gun a bit and didn't fully read your post before replying. :toilet:

I think people are overlooking the true use of this app. I set mine up in the office where a diverse taste in music exists. By allowing everyone to connect to the server and then into iTunes DJ everyone can have a vote on what the next track should be. It truly is the BEST party app!

Pretty good App idea though... people could log in look through your library and make requests off of it... someone go make it.

Just use the apple iTunes remote by apple and iTunes dj. Keeping in mind that your going to need wifi
