Does anyone have any tips on how to scratch using CDJs?
I used vinyl years ago. Being that I was mostly a house DJ, I was never all that good at scratching. Fast forward many years and many ups and downs, I now have myself some CDJ-900s and while I mostly play house still, I'd like to put together a few hip hop, funk and groove mixtapes and would like to utilize some basic scratching techniques (like scratch-dropping a new track in).
Thing is... with a moving platter and a moving record, it makes sense and its far easier to stick to that sound you are scratching back and forth. With the CDJs, it feels like it is "slipping" a bit from the sound you are trying to scratch.
So... any tips?
