Both have the same output and are pretty much identical machines. Both have a 50 minute initial heat-up time/30 minute re-heat time using one 120v circuit (12.6 amp draw). The Nimbus has a SECOND optional power input for use with a second circuit (2 - 15 amp circuits required in total to use this feature). Using 2 power inputs on 2 separate circuits decreases the warm up time down to 30 min/15minute reheat time.
For a mobile DJ having 2 dedicated circuits just for your fog-effect machine might be tricky but can get you heated up quickly. Starting off with hot water will also get your heat up time down.

I see the the nimbus only takes 10 pounds of ice and the ultra takes 20 pounds not sure if this would make a difference or not

The ultra's output will last twice as long.

They both quote 5-6 minute runtime. Either way its enough for 1 whole song.

Set to the same temperature, twice the media will output twice as long. If the Ultra outputs for less time, it's probably because it runs hotter than stated.
