View Full Version : Anyone into 140 Jungle?

I know techinically it isnt DnB in tempo, but obviously draws from Jungle and the older rave and hardcore sounds.

Lots of good music coming out from artist such as Bojcot Seletah, Rack'n'Ruin, Warrior One, and lables like Top Drawer Digital representing the sound.

Anyone into this sound?

For me I like the breaks slowed down, given time to breathe, gives a new angle to Jungle.

If you wanna hear some, check out the youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/140jungle

Or a mix from the mix submission forum... http://www.djforums.com/forums/showthread.php?19540-KAL-140-Jungle-Mix-(Warrior-One-Rack-n-Ruin-Bojcot-Selectah-Ipman)

Anyone got other artists / labels to recommend too?

Ye, Cluekid has a couple of belters.

Thinking of putting a new mix together, as the last one I did was real popular. Ill check the above out and stick em in.... and post it in the mix submissions when done

Skream - Make Me goes very well with every 140 jungle track I've heard btw.
Oh and there is a Phaelah record with a 140 jungle remix on the flip, forgot the name but will check when I get home

Sounds like breaks.

It is breaks. :)

It's not very new either. Breakbeat producers have been making this kind of stuff for a long time now (usually in the 135-138 bpm range). Funny how it's suddenly popular now.
