im lookin at buying hd 25's on amazon and i feel like im missing something like im looking at the wrong thing.

these are the ones im trying to buy: (for $250)
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Sennheiser-HD-25-1-II-Headphones-104795117-i1326024.gc

but i found them for cheaper here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000TDZOXG/ref=dp_olp_new_map?ie=UTF8&condition=new

I was looking at the ones that are $199.95 from Full Compass or even the next two sellers in line. $50 is $50 and im on a college budget so anywhere I can squeeze by Ill try. I was wondering if these are even the same or if they are actually the cheaper trim of the hd 25's. I know the saying if its too good to be true it is but its hard to argue with 7,800 buyers and 95% positive feedback.

Guitar center usually lists their items at MSRP. Street value for these cans is right around $200. The ones on amazon should be the exact same.

Hmmm... there are two different models of HD25s but I think these are the same.

Full Compass is a reputable dealer - I have had excellent service from them. They may, in fact, be the largest retailer of professional A/V equipment in the world. Don't hesitate to buy from them - you might actually get an even better price if you call them on the phone.

When buying on line, you need to make sure that who ever you buy from, that they are an authorized retailer. Just because some one sells them, doesn't mean that they are an authorized retailer. What that means is, that if they break, you may not be able to get them fixed under warranty. A lot of times the manufacturer, wont warranty something if it was not bought from an authorized retailer. I'm not saying that those dealers on Amazon are not authorized retailers, I don't know, but you might want to check. I would call the Sennheiser distributor and ask them. One thing you can do is have your local Guitar Center price match one of those ads.

Full Compass is an authorized dealer for almost every brand in the audio business. They are certainly a Sennheiser dealer.

Here is what Sennheiser has to say about non authorized dealers "Please note that products purchased from a non-authorized merchant are not eligible for warranty service." Here is the web page where you can check if the place you buy from is legit or not http://www.sennheiserusa.com/nonauthorized This is true for just about every manufacturer, not just Sennheiser. I was just trying to give you a heads up, so you don't run into problems if you need warranty repairs. Full Compass is not on the list, so you should be fine.

definitely go with a reputable dealer. I bought HDJ-1000s off ebay years ago when I first started and they were totally fakes.
