i am 100% new to this. just bought my first set of equipment yesterday (traktor s2). im looking to build my music collection but really have no idea where to start.
im interested in club mixes and dubstep/breakbeat stuff. where would be a good source to get tracks?
just looking to try to teach myself in my bedroom. dj'ing has always been an interest of mine but i was never motivated to try to start.

Beatport, Juno, Itunes are all places to start.

Are record pools still popular? If so, which?

They are if you're into getting a lot of top 40 stuff and remixes of said top 40. djcity is big. i couldn't tell you any others though. i've never looked into them.

Beatport is the way to go. It makes my music collection happy and my credit card sad. :)
