Anyone have experience with Grundorf DJ tables? http://www.amazon.com/Grundorf-AT-6022-Folding-DJ-Table/dp/B006WBSS8M

I just ordered one and I am hoping it is fairly good quality. Thought about designing my own, but I didn't think I could keep it light enough.

Well...guess I will be the first to let people know about these tables. I'll do a review after I receive it and have used it a couple times.

The only Grundorf product I have experience with is mic stands. The ones I have I got very cheap used because the swivel area (plastic) was cracking. Grundorf has a decent name overall and I wouldn't expect to find such design flaws in most of their products.

I have the same table have used for the past couple years, it still holds up very well no issues. My decision in the purchase was the extendable legs.

I finally received my table a few days ago. I haven't used it on a gig yet so I can't do a proper review. I am noticing a few problems already though and would like to see if anyone has a solution.

Overall build quality seems good and the table is super light. It is nice and stable when on the lowest setting; however, when raised to where I actually want to use it there is a lot of shimmy.

I believe the shimmy is mostly from the joint of the extension, circled in the picture below:

I was thinking that I could tack weld the joint, but then I would no longer be able to fold up the table completely.

Any other solutions?

Here is a picture of the bracket assembly. I was also thinking about welding another support horizontally between the legs similar to where I drew the red line. I know this would help with support, but I don't think it would eliminate the extension piece shimmy.
