Hooked into my board last night and there was a loooot of static produced. Never had the issue before and after adjustments no change. I ended up hooking into my mixer bypassing the board and it was crystal clear. Xlr cables an issue? Mixer it self?

Xlr out of my mixer into 1/4" in on the board. Xlr out of the board to the xlr in on my speakers. I hadn't had a problem with the 1/4" to xlr before tonight but that's the only cable I didn't double chrck

any cable (especially cheap ones) can break, which would result in a bad connection and all kinds of unwanted noises. so check the cable, it might be that.

Balanced to unbalanced to balanced.
Use an adapter instead of just a cable which is much easier to damage.

I don't think the cable is broken. I bought it 3 weeks ago and used it twice. I will look at the adapter. Probably is this poop connection

Open the mixer up and take a look around if it isn't the cable
