Yeah, I don't know that you can really build a studio for under 1000. The computer alone is going to be pretty costly. I have a pretty simply setup and I spent about 1500. But the article does provide some useful info!

There is almost no advice in that article that I agree with.

But, frankly, I could build a good EDM production rig for about a grand. Nothing extravagant and you'd have to know what you were doing with computers (it'd be a hackintosh) but it's doable. The only thing I'm hazy on is what a hackintosh actually costs and whether there's a budget conscious alternative to Logic that works on Windows and doens't need anything else unless you just don't like some piece of it. If there is, I haven't heard of it.

That guy should've mentioned that the Apogee One is Mac-only.
