What do you use your DJ equipment mainly for?

How do you go about using your equipment? I use my equipment mostly for personal and occasional family or friends parties. But if I had to choose one answer, its more personnal use.

I wish I had a second set of equipment so I could leave this set at home and have something strictly for these cheap bars/clubs that have no/terrible equipment.

I am solely a bedroom DJ now. I only use my decks to make a mixtape or two per year or to do some cuts on the occasional track if someone asks me.

My family room was converted to my dj room.........including a wall of crates with vinyl..........and I have extra tables/mixer in case I have to take equipment with me.

At the moment, I am only a bedroom DJ. I have a podcast, but other than that, I guess it's considered personal use.

Seriously though... I bring out the WHOMP! at family get togethers and parties, and mobile DJ the rest of the time.

Depending on the event. I like to bring my turntables out but if it's not worth the hassle of carrying this super heavy case I'll bring out my Pionneer controller.

Business and it stays in storage during the week with my PA gear since I don't have enough room in our apartment. Thankfully I can play around with Traktor with just the keyboard and don't need to drag out the S4 all the time. Looking forward to buying a house later this summer and having my own music room/office and setting everything up. Might even buy some turntables to mess around with.

home use for practising & doing my weekly radio shows on. luckily everywhere iv played at the venue has their own setup or someone else brings theirs

Been a hobby dj for 20+ years now but just about to change to doing some mobiles gigs.

I've been buying new equipment for the last year readying myself. I want to do it properly and earn decent money so i haven't scrimped on my 1st lot of equipment. I want a good sound and light show from the off.

So far i've put together 2x RCF active tops + 2x active RCF subs. 2x db technologies active tops (spares), 3 lasers, 2 scanners, par cans and a 8-9 various other light fixtures and a DMX controller. DJ Stand and light fixtures.

my personal gear doesnt leave my house. I just use it to practice at home and once in a great while i'll take it out side for the occasional bbq. all the clubs i play at have their own gear.
