Good afternoon everybody,
Firstly I'm Jinx and I'm new to the forum so hello! I have been DJing since I was 14 *21 now* (my Dad is now a businessman and former club DJ in London, Cardiff & Torquay). I have been taught to mix "old school" on 80s music using SL1200s and now upgraded to CDJ2000s a while back BUT...
My Dad still uses old technology and him being the technophobe that he is.. he won't use anything else but a Revox B77 to record and slice, I admit that machine is excellent but I want to upload my mixes via CD. I like what the Revox does, I also use Serato for recording general mixes but I want something that will replicate what the Revox does by slicing tracks and simply taping them back together where you want.
So my question is... Is there any new technology that is better or as good as the Revox B77? Or can you upload Reel - Reel to CD? Quality of tracks is an issue though, I'd like to get quite a high quality mix.
Thanks everybody, I look forward to seeing you round!
