headshell too short problem

I have connected all the colors together, from cartridge to headshells and now the cartridge wont line up with the screws because the wires are too long. I dont want to pushed the cart back or else i would have to bend the wires. Any suggestions?

I managed to force the cartridge back till it lined up with the edge of the headshell. The wires in the S shape look like they are about to pop off...

It's normal to have a bit of slack on the wires so they curl up. As long as the wires don't foul the record or pop off the cart it is fine. If the clips on the wires are too loose they can be pinched a bit tighter using a pair of pliers (disconnect them from the cart first)

Alright. It just didn't seem normal. It felt like the wires would pop off any minute but I got it now, thanks.

The metal connector parts of the wires should be a tight fight. If not, you can give them a very slight (and I mean slight!) squeeze with a pair of pliers.
