I just got a paid of 1200s a few months ago and have been running them with a pair of Stanton 505v3 carts and headshells. Can I get just the sjure m44-7 cartridge and mount them to the stanton headshells or do i need to get technic headshells that ive seen everyone else use?

every dj cart will work on every headshell. The shure and stantons are no exception.

Thank you! Is there any difference in either head shells? I can't get the Stanton's to stick to the grooves at all after adding weight, reducing weight, tone arm heigts etc. They stick for a little and then jump around and i use a very light hand to scratch
There will be no significant differences between those headshells. The 505 is not an impressive cart in any sense, I think you are right to consider getting some M44-7s for scratching

Love my M44's haven't skipped or jumped on me once. Well maybe when my hand hit the tonearm due to me drinking.

BTW. N447-stylus kinda works on Stanton 500 cart. It will look redicilous, but sound will come through. I definitely don't recommend to do this, but people who have both carts can try this. I won't take responsibility if you break your stylus/record/cart though.
