Anyway to stick labels onto rubber pads?

So regular stickers/vinyl will not stick to rubber buttons/pads like on many midi controllers. Has anyone figured out a way to overcome this? I want to label my nanopad with what the functions do. Thanks

A basic label maker should do the trick:

issue is it wont stick to rubber pads at all :(

It stuck onto the pads on my Akai MPD 32 just fine :shrug:
