I have an delay effect on my DDM4000 but can't seem to figure out a proper way of integrating it into my mix without it sounding like a train wreck. So how do you guys use the effect?

if it's not in sync with the beat, it will sound like a trainwreck. See if you can affect the speed and tail of it, and use sparingly as in less is more.

Learn how to dance with your effects, DJ's David Morales and Louis Vega when they use effects they get into rhythm of the music. Treat effects like a musical instrument, don't over due and less is more.

On my ddm I like to use the delay with the medium and high frequencies only. I find having it affect the lows makes for a really muddled sound. I'll usually turn it all the way up really quick to give a almost reverse sounding effect, especially with it set at 3/4 time, for only 1 beat right before a drop or the beginning of a new phrase.
