View Full Version : Lighting on a few dollars and few watts
So I was looking at lighting and soon i want to get a simple lighting system. Since i will have someone elses for alot of occasions, and since rentals are as expensive as buying here. (50$ for a 10" full range gemeni a speaker)
I Need lighting that wont take up much power. Now i know i need a fog machinne along with a laser ( i love lasers) and i was looking at the older ADJ lights. Since i always give advice give me some too :). I was looking at the pocket scan but not it doesnt seem that guy better to buy individual lights since pocket scan doesnt give off that many beams. Mods if you feel you need to move this plz move it, or start a lighting forum :)
Edit: I like ADJ scatter beam

As the pocket scans have only a 100 Watt lamp i'd avoid them, try to aim at 200 - 250 watts, like ChainedDragon says, Chauvet are probably your best bet

Intimidators, 250W ELC Dichroic lamp, DMX control but unfortunately a lot more expensive (nearly double the price), thats the downside with lighting, really you get what you pay for.

Aren't the Intimidator's, Pretty much the SAME light as the Navigator Plus's?
They look the same, And I got mine for 280$ as well... But I think reg they was around 350+...
They look almost the same light.. Only they aren't missing half the top of the light, That goes in like a V.
I really think that look's dumb. :squint:
But, Almost nobody really sell's the Navigator's anymore, Or atleast what I can find..
Only springtree does..

Think you're right Naviss,
They do look a bit like the navigators without the tops on. But hey they still look to be a good basic light.
