Hey

I'm looking for a 100$ cartridge for my stanton ST.150. Will not be used for scratching. I play mostly bass heavy music; dub, dubstep, uk funky, future garage, deep house. Would like to not replace standard headshells. Don't care about aesthetics.

Just change the stylus from 680HP to 680EL. Stanton 680EL sounds VERY good imho. If you want to have a completely new cartridge try Ortofon Arkiv.
Both mentioned carts/needles are elliptical. If you want spherical stylus, check out Shure M35X or Whitelabel.
You'll propably get the best prices here: recordcase.de.

+1 for the Stanton 680s, very good carts

My experience with the 680 EL is that while sounding very good, I noticed a very high degree of cue burn just after minimal use. Maybe they've gotten better since I last used them (many years ago). I've since switched to Whitelabels and never looked back.

I use the 680s. They are my favorite sounding cartridge and I have tried a lot of them.
