Recently, I purchased a mackie SRM 150 100watt monitor and was planning on using the Mackie as a monitor through the XLR outs on my DJM250. As soon as the mixer is turned on a LOUD hissing comes out of the Monitor, and its even loud at just 20% Master volume 50% Line 1 and 2 volume. With music playing, IT IS noticeable to me in the booth and defeats the purpose of having a monitor. This DOES NOT happen with a RCA to 1/4 cable to the monitor, only through the XLR output. Am I doing something wrong? To illustrate, I've included a file.

You are running your mixer into the "mic inputs" of the speaker.
Run your mixer into channel 3.

Yes, but they are Mic/Line plus Phantom power is off. I have used Line 1 and 2 with 1/4" and there is no hissing. regardless, the whole point of me doing this is so my master goes through my RCA's since thats monstly compatible with my gigs and I can use the free XLRs as a monitor.
